Compatible devices
Most phones sold since 2019 support eSIM — but the phone also has to be carrier-unlocked, and a few models are exceptions.
Check your own phone in ten seconds
Faster and more reliable than any list, because it asks the phone itself.
- iPhone: Settings → General → About. If there is an “EID” entry, the phone has eSIM hardware.
- Android: Settings → About phone → Status, or dial *#06# — an EID shown alongside the IMEI means eSIM is supported.
- Either way, the phone must be carrier-unlocked. If you bought it on a contract, ask your carrier to unlock it before you travel.

Not on the list?
The list covers families of devices rather than every model number, and new phones appear constantly. If your phone shows an EID and is carrier-unlocked, it will work.
If you are unsure, ask us before you buy rather than after — we would rather answer a question than process a refund.
